About Me

My name is Monique Hertgen, and I am a Journal listed Christian Science Practitioner and Teacher. You may find more explanations of my work through prayer on this Website. Currently I live near the beautiful Lake of Annecy, at the feet of the French Alps. There I love to hike, ski, swim, bike and sail.

Through prayer and sometimes with the help of the prayerful support of a devoted Practitioner, I have experienced many blessings in my life :

– The healing of a severe sunstroke of my one year old son at that time,

– Overcoming the injustice of an unfair divorce, leaving me alone with two young boys, a baby girl and a fulltime job,

– The ability to find a beautiful new home for us when we needed to quit our house,

– Experiencing how divine Love has always abundantly cared for my family in many different ways.

This is to name just a few amongst the many healings and good solutions which the understanding of God through Christian Science had evidenced. So I could only strive to give back to God’s creation at least a part of all the good God had given to me.

My three children are independent, happy adults; and I retired from a lifetime job as counsellor for primary school teachers, which I enjoyed doing, ending with working 4 years in Lebanon. Now if I may help you understand how much God, Good, cares for you, and what is your spiritual identity which brings healing in all areas of your life, I am happy to be there for you.

What is Christian Science

Even though there is some similarity with the name, Christian Science has absolutely no link with Scientology.

Christian Science presents man’s very special relationship to God as told in the first chapter of Genesis “ So God created man in His own image, … male and female created He them.”

A God who tenderly loves and cares for you, for His creation, as a shepherd for each of his sheep: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; He maketh me to lie down in green pastures …; He restores my soul…” 23rd Psalm.

A God “who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfies thy mouth with good things” for all “them that fear Him “ ( have a profound reverence and awe toward Him/God)
